Hydrow is an at-home fitness brand with one of the best rowers on the market. As a new company, they needed some help on the brand-level, which including adjusting color palettes, creating a photo direction, campaign videos, and promotional pieces. From there, all of these new components were brought together to form a cohesive web experience and get customers excited about their at-home fitness journey.

The concept behind the Hydrow site was to make sure the luxury experience came across via design. I shifted the look from where it was previous to more of an editorial type of layout, as well as paired imagery of the rower with more inspirational, tactical imagery like the docks and calming waves that the users’ expect to see in hydrow’s high-quality videos.

 
 
 
 
 

What sets Hydrow apart is the fact that they film all of their workouts live with an award-winning crew. While most are recorded at their home base, the Charles River, they also travel around the world to create unique experiences for their customers. In order to highlight each destination, we’ve created passport stamps that are used both on the site and in-app, so the Hydrow user can see exactly what their options are when it comes to class setting.

With quite a few opportunities for graphic technical drawings and iconography, I was able to add some illustration throughout the site to make the brand more accessible and easy to understand.
